Returns, Exchanges & Refunds
ROVQIRA sells products with very different return considerations. Swimwear and wetsuits involve fit and hygiene, apparel needs to remain in resalable condition, and surfboards or water-sports equipment can lose return eligibility once they are ridden, waxed, installed, or modified.
This page explains how return requests are reviewed, what condition products should remain in, how damaged shipments are handled, and what customers should do before sending anything back.
Return Overview
If a product is not suitable because of fit, order error, condition, shipping damage, or another purchase-related concern, contact us before sending it back.
Return eligibility is reviewed according to the product type, the reason for the request, the item's condition, and whether the item can reasonably be accepted back for resale or inspection.
Because no fixed return window has been specified here, customers should contact us promptly after identifying an issue rather than delaying a request.
General Return Condition
Products should generally be kept in the same condition in which they were received while a return request is being reviewed.
- items should be unused unless the concern could only reasonably be discovered after limited use;
- apparel should be unworn beyond careful try-on, unwashed, and free from stains, odors, or alteration;
- tags, labels, packaging, accessories, and included components should remain with the product where supplied;
- equipment should not be modified, installed, waxed, ridden, or damaged after delivery;
- products should be protected from avoidable damage while awaiting return instructions.
Swimwear
Swimwear should be tried on carefully and kept in clean, original condition. Any hygiene liner, protective strip, tag, or similar component supplied with the product should remain attached and intact where applicable.
Items showing signs of wear, washing, body-product residue, removed hygiene protection, odor, staining, or other use may not be eligible for return.
Fit can vary between cuts and fabrics, so customers should review the available sizing information before ordering and contact us if a product's fit details are unclear.
Wetsuits and Performance Apparel
Wetsuits should be tried on indoors and kept dry while fit is being evaluated. Entering the water, using the suit for a session, washing it, or otherwise putting it into active use can change the product condition and may affect return eligibility.
Wetsuit fit is intentionally different from ordinary clothing. A close fit alone does not necessarily indicate a defect. Customers should consider the product's sizing and construction before deciding whether the fit is unsuitable.
Apparel and Accessories
Boardshorts, shirts, hoodies, sweaters, jackets, hats, sunglasses, and similar products should remain unworn beyond reasonable try-on and should be returned with original packaging or accessories where supplied.
Signs of extended wear, washing, alteration, scratches, stains, odor, missing accessories, or damage after delivery may reduce or remove return eligibility.
Surfboards and Large Water-Sports Equipment
Surfboards, skimboards, and other large equipment should be inspected carefully before use. Once a board has been waxed, ridden, fin-fitted in a way that marks the product, modified, repaired, or otherwise placed into active use, ordinary return options may no longer be available.
Customers should review board length, width, thickness, volume, construction, fin configuration, and other specifications before purchase because product suitability depends on the rider and intended use.
Do not ship a surfboard or other oversized product back independently before receiving return instructions. Incorrect packaging or carrier selection can create additional damage in transit.
Surf Accessories and Installed Products
Fins, traction pads, and other surf accessories should be checked for compatibility and specification before installation.
An accessory that has been permanently applied, cut, modified, installed, or used in a way that changes its condition may not remain eligible for an ordinary return unless there is a product defect or another issue that reasonably requires review.
Non-Returnable Conditions
A product may be refused for return when its condition no longer allows reasonable resale or inspection.
- swimwear with removed hygiene protection or signs of wear;
- washed, altered, stained, or heavily worn apparel;
- wetsuits that have been used in water or show signs of session use;
- surfboards that have been waxed, ridden, repaired, or modified after delivery;
- traction products or accessories that have been permanently installed;
- products damaged through misuse, improper storage, or accidental impact after delivery;
- items returned without important components where those missing parts materially affect the product's value.
Starting a Return Request
Before returning a product, email [email protected] with the order number, product name, and reason for the request.
If the issue involves an incorrect product, missing component, visible defect, or shipping damage, include clear photographs showing the condition of the item and relevant packaging.
We may ask for additional information needed to understand the request before providing return instructions.
Shipping Damage
Damage discovered on delivery should be documented before the packaging is discarded. This is especially important for surfboards and other large equipment where the outer carton can help show whether an impact occurred during transport.
- keep the shipping carton and internal protective materials;
- photograph the shipping label and any visible package damage;
- photograph the full product and the affected area;
- avoid repairing, waxing, riding, or modifying the item before the issue is reviewed.
These details help us assess the condition accurately and may be required when the matter involves a carrier or fulfillment provider.
Incorrect or Missing Items
If the product received does not match the ordered item, size, color, or specification, contact us before using the product.
If part of a multi-item order appears missing, first review whether the order was divided into separate shipments. Different packages may arrive at different times when the order includes products with different fulfillment or packaging requirements.
Partial Refunds
A partial refund may be considered when a returned product is accepted but has lost part of its resale value because of missing packaging, missing components, handling, wear, or another condition not present when the item was originally supplied.
The amount, if any, depends on the individual product and the condition in which it is received.
Refund Review
Approved returns may be inspected after they arrive. The review can include the product condition, packaging, tags, accessories, signs of use, and whether the returned item matches the approved request.
If the return is approved after inspection, the refund will generally be issued through the applicable payment process. The time required for funds to appear afterward depends on the payment provider or financial institution.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you have received confirmation that a refund was processed but it has not yet appeared, allow for normal processing by the payment provider or financial institution.
If the delay appears unusual, contact the relevant payment provider where appropriate and then email us with the order details so we can review the refund status available to us.
Sale Items
If a discounted product is eligible for return, any approved refund is normally based on the amount actually paid rather than a previous retail price.
A promotion may have its own clearly stated conditions where those conditions were presented with the offer at the time of purchase.
Exchanges
Exchange availability depends on current inventory. This is particularly relevant to swimwear, wetsuits, boardshorts, and other products where a requested replacement size or color may no longer be available.
Contact us before returning an item so we can review whether an exchange is practical for the specific product.
Gifts
If a product was purchased as a gift, the original order information may still be needed to identify the transaction and review return eligibility.
Refund handling can depend on the payment method used for the original purchase, so not every gift return can be refunded directly to the recipient.
Return Shipping
Return shipping arrangements depend on the reason for return, product type, destination, package size, and circumstances of the request.
Large equipment requires particular care. Surfboards and similar products may need reinforced packaging and an appropriate carrier service to prevent additional damage during the return journey.
Original shipping charges, return transportation costs, and related amounts may be treated differently depending on whether the return involves customer preference, incorrect fulfillment, transport damage, or another issue.
